The excellent and exclusive food and accommodation that were provided. The hotels were very special in terms of food and lodging.

The two days spent in Lodge Norheim was very special as the house was unique.  The electronics in the house was very advanced – even has a iPad to control the fireplace, electronic bathtub and toilet. The private dining at the restaurant Sondre within walking distance during Christmas Eve and Christmas had food which used ingredients that were fresh and from various parts of Hokkaido. The house also had its  own backyard and forest for a bonfire with marshmallows.
All the activities were well planned out with adequate time to travel in between.
The recommendations for food at our own cost were all extremely yummy and suitable for our budget and family size. Having advance reservations is important in Japan – as many of the restaurants are full. For example, we had a wonderful buffet dinner at HAL in Hoshino Ice village which was fully booked out. We would not have had the opportunity if not for Eriko having foresight to help us book way in advance.

Receiving our glass souvenirs at home after returning home was a nice surprise – this prevented us from having to bring it back on the flight and opening the box brought back nice memories of a well spent holiday.
