I was part of a 2-person private tour group on Rebun Island that was paired with Nanae on June 13, 2026.

I want to highlight that Nanae was an absolutely phenomenal guide. Her knowledge of local history, culture, and sight-seeing attractions is excellent. Her knowledge of local plant life (flora) cannot be overstated and her passion for the flowers of Rebun is contagious.

Her guidance on our hike to the Momoiwa Observatory, for example, included incredible details about each flower, their origins, how they are impacted by the seasons, and geographic distribution over time; this enriched our experience tremendously.

Nanae is extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and gracious with her time. I would recommend her without reservation. She provided a guided experience on Rebun Island that has left an indelible mark on me and I will remember it for the rest of my life.

Her passion for Rebun island is very, very strong and it shows through her work as a guide. When I travel to Rebun again, I will be requesting Nanae again without hesitation.

Nanae was promptly on time, listened to our requests, and provided local insights and details that other guides did not. Please let her know that I am thankful and hope to see her again in the future!!
