From the planning stage, Ms. Chiyokubo from Takarajimasha responded with great sincerity and care. Masako, our guide, and Yama-san, our driver, were both very warm and accommodating, and kindly responded to our requests.

As for the hotels, Sanyoan, the boutique hotel, stood out in every way—the staffs, the private and the public onsen, and especially the meals, which were the best of the trip. Kourakuen (the room was a good size, the private onsen and the public onsen were excellent, and their matcha latte was delightful, nice staffs} and Tsuruga Bettei Hina no Za (the room was spacious, with high-quality amenities, good food, and well-trained, courteous staffs) were also very good.
