Our first trip to Hokkaido exceeded our expectations, thanks to the Hokkaido Treasure team! Being an elderly couple in our 60’s, we were a little apprehensive. But from the initial email contact with Ms Arisa, and pre-travel planning, to the daily tours and outings, we were so well taken care of by Mr Tanaka and driver, Jou. Mr Tanaka was warm and friendly, and could explain everything to us in well-spoken English. I am especially grateful to him and Jou for helping me retrieve my Passport, which had fallen out of my pocket at Sapporo airport! The areas which we drove thru, such as the flower fields of Furano, and the coastline of Otaru, were beautiful and memorable. So were the meals in the small village restaurants, such as Soba making workshop and Tempura – we enjoyed every dish! We will definitely be back next year, to see the Whales and maybe the snow !
