To commemorate my hubby’s 70th birthday this year, i had organized a customized family trip, together with my BFF & parents to Hokkaido for a 10 day trip, by Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel. Given that Neo (my hubby) had sustained spinal cord injury 4 years ago, his legs are still weak and hence, for long distances, he requires wheelchair assistance. We used to love travelling and would always go to Europe twice a year for our annual holidays. Given this Hokkaido trip was Neo’s first trip overseas after his accident, both of us were concerned with many potential challenges, largely on wheelchair accessibility at sight-seeing places, hotel bathroom facilities, meal locations, medical facilities availability in each travel location, assistance to the airport etc.  Primary concern was on Neo’s safety and comfort throughout the planning. I must say that Fumika Yoshimoto san successfully ticked all the boxes in fulfilling my requirements seamlessly for this trip. She had done such an excellent job in mapping out the itinerary and kudos to her effort and hard work, Neo has now gained more confidence and is looking for the next customized overseas trip for next spring and autumn. We will definitely be back to Hokkaido in 2026 to re-engage Fumika san to plan another Hokkaido trip, when she is back to work after her maternity and child-care leave.

The overall travel experience for everyone was further elevated with a very informative tour guide, Kiyoe Narita san. She never failed to enlighten us with the highlights of the Japanese culture and to assume the photographer role for the group. Even the driver, Tsuyoshi Sasaki san was extremely helpful, always going the extra mile to help Neo throughout the trip.  Such a winning travel combination with Fumika san, Kiyoe san and Tsuyoshi san for this trip. A big thank you to all 3 of them for this very memorable Hokkaido trip!! This customized trip was really worth the money spent!!
