It was our first time visiting Hokkaido and we really wanted to enjoy autumn at its best. We were a little concerned about the best timing to enjoy the autumn foliage but the recommended time proved to be the best to visit the southern part of Hokkaido and we were able to enjoy mesmerising sceneries throughout the trip. There were some recommended activities like soba making and cooking experience which we were a little sceptical initially but it was a great experience to be able to interact with the local communities and we were very glad that we did not remove it from our itinerary. It was, in all, a very nice and relaxed trip that we would definitely recommend.
