Best way to tour Hokkaido with elderly
From : United States

So glad we found HTIT while researching tours of Hokkaido. The customizable, private tour allowed us to travel with our 85-year old mother all over Hokkaido in a comfortable, spacious, air-conditioned van. HTIT also provided a wheelchair throughout the length of our stay. We would not have been able to visit as many beautiful places around Hokkaido had we traveled by Shinkansen or in a group tour.
Our travel consultant, Yuki-san, was very attentive and thorough. She helped plan our day-to-day itinerary and made all of our hotel, restaurant and activity reservations. Without Yuki to help us navigate the lively, crowded and somewhat intimidating Sapporo beer garden, we would have bypassed an activity that turned out to be one of my favorite highlights of our trip.
ありがとう、めっちゃくちゃ楽しいかったです!
Our driver Masa-san went above and beyond, picking us up each morning of our 10-day stay. He took us on drives that were sometimes two-hours long, then gave us a bilingual tour (in Japanese for my mother and in English for my brother and I)—we must have toured a minimum of three different sites around Hokkaido per day…and not only that, Masa-san also helped us check in and out of each hotel, and made sure we understood the menu and ordering process at each of the restaurants we visited at lunchtime.
マサさん、本当にお疲れ様でした。ありがとう、感謝しています。
We couldn’t have asked for a better way to experience Hokkaido and wish that HTIT could expand to include other areas of Japan!
